The rooted swarmer split from its ancestor and moved into Krakow River. It will now lie on the bottom of the river and anchor itself with its tentacles. It is now entirely dependent on photosynthesis, but gains minerals and nutrients by opening its mouth toward the river as it lies, letting the river carry microorganisms into its mouth. The young are mobile, and only settle once they have found a good site. To better help it photosynthesize, their wings have grown to a 15 cm wingspan.
