The rubric sticky-cube was so successful that it replaced its ancestor, the sticky-cube. It now grows in mega colonies. Each cube is made up of tiny sticky balls and those cubes are stacked in one big mega cube. The balls are stuck together in a cube, but the individual cube can move around independently to different spots on the mega cube, just like a rubrics cube. They can also deform to fit between branches on a tree or on a cliff face. The mega cubes are not prefect cubes but are deformed cubes. I still produces the awful tasting chemical sonosil, which now helps in digesting whatever it touches. Anything not fast enough will slow get dissolved by it over many hours. It can slow move around as one big massive colony. It is now much like the mythical "gelatinous cube" in Dungeons and Dragons, except rather than being an ooze this is many many separate balls that work together.
