The sagavermes guttoplaque replaced its ancestor guttoplaque. It inhabits only the sagaverme phylum on land. Like its ancestor it helps in digestion of food particles its hosts eat. Not only does it get to eat but it keeps the host healthy and thus mutually beneficial to each other. Other than specifying to the digestive system of sagavermes, it has not changed.
