The Sailbacked Bearhog Plent developed from the Bearhog Plent. It's physical adaptations are minor. The wingleaves of the Bearhog have become permanently open and have fused to it's back forming two bright sails. These sails are more brightly coloured in the male and are still used to attract mates. Sailbacked Bearhogs also have three toes on each foot. The range of this creature extends far to the north of that of it's ancestor and it's major food sources include Miragebok and Crawling Stumpworm.
