Saproutine spp.
Ancestor:Descendants:

The sappro genus group replaced its ancestor, the saproutine. Its relatives the tealspot cryoutine, calcitine, hydroutine and otroutine went extinct due to competition between other microbes which filled their niches more efficiently. Thus leaving this genus group left to be an external parasite of all the various flora across Sagan 4.

Each species has adapted to every kind of flora on Sagan 4, even some mobile plents have this parasite growing on their backs. They are very simple and simple use their duel proboscis to feed off their hosts. They have no pigment of their own and take upon whatever color sap their host has. Their main competitors are the parasitic "shrooms" and microplaques.
