Ancestor:Descendants:

The poop-scooping scuttlecrabs that moved into the rain forest after shuffling some of their poop there discovered that there was more to be had in the rain forests. The smaller and more agile survived, and they began to eat decaying plant matter more than other creatures' feces. They still would roll up balls of dirt, but this time for a different reason. The scuttlisk often rolls the fallen spherical fruits from an orbitree and uses it as a means to easily start making a dirt ball. This not only helps spread the seeds of the orbitree, but due to the easily decaying orbitree fruit, provides the scuttlisk with a ball that will easily be hollowed out and used for a nest to lay eggs.
