The '''shelled nobom''' replaced the [[Armored Nobom|armored nobom]] on Yokto Island. Due the lack of space there was nowhere to run from predators so the shelled nobom didn't run; it developed more armor so predators could no longer eat them. Their hard shell keeps out most predators, even the claws of an [[azeraptor]]. Its iridescent sails have gotten smaller too so there is less skin exposed. The ears have grown bigger so it can detect predators from farther away so it can get a head start since it is very slow. Its front leg plates have developed into a digging tool in which it will make burrows to sleep in during the night. |
