The skimsnapper split from its ancestor, the cloud skysnapper It has moved the the Krakow coastline. There the only food was the Krakow swarmer. It has developed a large mouth pouch to scoop them up when they are in their swarms. It had to get smaller in size since its prey was so small. Its eye have evolved into a compound eye on either side. This helps it locate swarmers from high above. Their wings and membrane are dark so it can help them warm up better when the sun is out. Since they are deaf they communicate through gestures with their wings and tails.
Like its ancestor it has downy feathers covering its body and is warm-blooded. It lays its hard shelled eggs in the warm summers and will make their nests on the beach using local flora such as the salt puff. They only have 1 to 2 eggs and will raise them until they are young-adults. They pair for life and take turns taking care of the egg.
