The skirtbulb split from its ancestor, the tiger bulbstalk. It has grown twice as big as its ancestor and has a skirt around its stem to help absorb more sunlight. Like its ancestor it has stripes which absorb more heat. This helps in the higher altitude where it can snow. If it gets too cold its stem will fall off and it will hibernate. As long as the bulb is still intact it can re-grow. It spreads is airborne spores just like other black flora do.
