The crystal weed spores that found themselves outside of their former home in the Yokto River and Yokto Marsh, and inside the Slarti waterways, moved in a different direction than their ancestors. Instead of growing out, the Slarti crystal-shoot grew up. Unfortunately for the local flora and fauna, the crystal shoot retained the destructive chemicals that restrict nearby plant growth, and it's as sharp as ever.
