Ancestor:Descendants:

The Slumping Bearhog evolved when they began to move outwards, away from the swamp, splitting from its ancestor, towards a place where they could move more freely. There were one of the apex predators and dominated their only competition, the Sailbacked Bearhog Plent, forcing them to extinction, as their size was much larger and they could out-predate them. With this ability they were able to grow to even greater sizes, but with this increase in size also comes a major increase in weight. The Bearhog's neck wasn't terribly strong, and as a result its head slumps toward the ground. Now without any competition they have become a slightly lazier species, though with their massive size they can easily outrun many species by taking huge strides.

The large tassels hanging from its mouth are used primarily to show off a male's fitness, as females have considerably shorter ones. A major physical change has occurred and the two wings have fused into a larger single sail. Their sail is able to flatten itself out so the bearhog may be more aerodynamic while it is running at moderate speeds so it doesn't rip off.
