Ancestor:Descendants:

The smooth wingworm is fairly similar to its ancestor the clear-wing worm. After moving to Irinya River it adapted to feeding off irinya chamber stalk, similar to how it fed off saproutine. It scrapes the plant material off the stalk. Because the stalks got overpopulated, the smooth wing worms evolved and interesting adaptation. They started feeding off enomena too. But because those are submerged, the smooth wing worms had to adapt. Their wings are now very smooth, allowing water to quickly slide off and can be pressed against their body. To get to enomena, they hover up higher and freefall towards the enomena. They then attach themselves with their fangs, and start scraping off matter. Once they're filled or need to breathe, they let themselves float upwards and 'paddle' towards the shore with their big wings, using their smaller ones as a rudder.
