Ancestor:Descendants:

The solumlita split of from its ancestor and moved out of the sea. It now covers the southern beaches of Dixon. They have changed color to catch more light. Their single proboscis is used to anchor them to the ground and the hooks make them very hard to remove. To cope with the lack of water, the proboscis also absorbs water from the ground and their shell adapted to keep as much moisture inside as possible. They still grow in huge colonies and give the black sand of the beaches a faint indigo glow.
