Ancestor:Descendants:

The stature piloroot replaced its ancestor, the standing piloroot. Upon moving to the warmer deserts and high deserts its leaves hardened to an inflexible state, this prevented the loss of liquid and any soils kicked by herbivores into their leaves so that it can get as many minerals and nutrients as possible, allowing maximum growth and fruit production. It's fruit stands out to attract herbivores to carry away the seeds and allow the spread of their species and cover large areas of sand.
