The stickytower split from the superstickyball after the Gamma Ray Burst left the once-fertile Ovi-Hydro-Nuke Rainforest bare. The migration was easy, because of the stickytower reproducing so quickly, by budding off from its parent. As you can see, the bud starts at the top, and will fall off; digging its roots into the ground to keep it in place. The stickytower will constantly reproduce, a new tower forming on its side at least once every day or two.
The stickytower has become better at gathering nutrients. The roots which once were used to stick into a host's body are now used to stick into the soil, and will absorb nutrients from the surrounding earth. The stickytower is only slightly less sticky than before, but this is only rudimentary as the stickiness has no purpose, because there is no mobile creatures for it to stick onto.
