The sting cell is an odd looking cell. It has no central nucleus, but a sting of small clusters within one long cell membrane. These strings are so small and thin that they can penetrate other cell walls with it. The sting cell then sucks out the contents of the other cell. When the sting cell becomes too large and starts to reproduce, it simply lets go of one of its stringy arms.
