Ancestor:Descendants:

The sunworm split from its ancestors to spread into the alpine regions of Glicker. In order to gather more heat from the sun's rays, its heat-gathering "wings" have become larger and have changed pigment to become black. This hue does not reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum and thus absorbs more energy. As well, its front legs have developed so that they can be dug into the ground to anchor the organism to the ground. This way it can dig itself into large deposits of waste and feed without moving for long periods of time.
