The supershrooms genus group replaced its ancestors, the polar supershroom and jeluki supershroom. They are a highly adaptable group who have spread to nearly all land biomes. As detritivores they can live where ever there is rotting organic matter. They come in a range of sizes and shapes. They have no pigment (except for their berries), thus their coloration is of whatever they are eating. This is typically black or brown. Their small berries are colorful so to attract fauna to eat them and thus spread them to new places. Unlike the early "shrooms", supershrooms are highly resistant to disease and parasites. They are able to bounce back from any "plagues" with ease. This is why they are called "super".
