They have gotten bigger and have longer forearms which they use to pick up the Sticky Fruit and put it on their back. The sweetback has replaced its ancestor on King Beach . There was not much food for the leatherback scuttlecrabs to choose from, so they started eating sticky fruit.

They have gotten bigger and have longer forearms which they use to pick up the sticky fruit and put it on their back. This way they will always carry their food with them and when they stand still they will look like sticky fruit from a distance; this is also why they have gotten a more purple colored skin. This makes them harder to find for stumpworm suckers and also harder to kill as they will need to pierce the sticky fruit too.

When they finished eating the sticky fruit, they will wash off the leftovers in the sea and then start to find new sticky fruit.
