The takiya replaced its ancestor, the solar sailor, on Maineiac Volcanic Island. It no longer goes up into the atmosphere and has grown to 10x its ancestor's size. Its stalk has turned into a trunk with a primitive vascular system. The rich volcanic soil has allowed it to thrive, however it still must compete with the other island flora. It has a more simplistic life cycle now where it grows orange spores which fall off and then grow into new flora. It no longer needs to store up hydrogen in its leaves since it's completely terrestrial now.
