The talcan replaced its ancestor, the obelisk crystal in the Yokto Coast. It has become shorter, but wider. It is specializing into filter feeding: all over its body, the crystal has very small holes with tentacles coming out of them. The tentacles do the filter-feeding. Because the crystal is big, it covers a lot of space and filter-feeds easier. It can now live at the entrances of the Truteal Sea Caves.
