The testudoweb replaced its ancestor Testudohexapodia acta on Ovi island. It now lives in webbed colonies instead of clusters. It uses these webs to signal each other, to transport proteins, and even to transport DNA segments via a unique form of conjunction. It still tints the sand purple though with a slightly lighter color.
