Replacing its ancestor in both Terra Swamp and Terra River, the tetatom has several new adaptations. Its color is now white, making it blend with the environment. It swims on its back so the filter-feeding mouth faces the ground. That way it can filter-feed on organic particles and microbes in the bottom of the water. To increase filter-feeding efficiency, it sucks in water using its mouth, filter-feeds and throws away any waste through holes on its "head". Like its ancestor it uses its sensory organ to find microbes.
