Ancestor:Descendants:

The tetheredstalk split from its ancestor and doubled in size. It now grows several spore pods, but only one at a time. The spore pod covers have become specialized, one side as segmented leaves, the other side as tether roots to help counter the weight of the leaves and collect water and nutrients. The flora grows in a crescent shape to help it cover the most area for its leaves and tethers to collect what it needs.
