The thrymentis replaced its ancestor, the thurmyceto. The thrymetis had stopped floating through the waters and started resting on the sides of the springs but they started being killed by the thermoten. This meant that the species need to develop some sort of defence. It then developed armour to protect it from their predator. Though their armour covers most of their body there are still spots where it can still feed and reproduce.
