The thurmyceto replaced its ancestor, the thurmitosis bag. It has grown to ten times its ancestor's size. Like its ancestor, it lives in the hot springs of Hydro Volcanic. It is basically a multicellular sack that absorbs the sulfur in the hot springs. Its protective coating is slime-like and can produce round spores. They can withstand incredible heat. It needs the extreme heat to stay in an aqueous form. If the pool cools or it drys up they will form into a hard crust. This crust causes the edge of the hot spring to appear yellow from dead dried up thurmyceto.
