Ancestor:Descendants:

The triplestalk split from it's ancestor the doublestalk. It is pretty much the same as its ancestor, but do to a mutation, except it has one more spore chamber than it's ancestor. The stalks release spores that are coated in a debilitating neurotoxin that is deadly to plents, this protects them from black flora eating herbivores such as the gringash. The spores can form thick orange clouds that tints the air each spring. Just like their ancestor, their roots drink water preventing it from drying out and also to cool down the cells in its body. Their bases have become wider to allow them to store water during the long winter. These bases also produce an anti freeze that keeps them from freezing to death.

Due to the presence of this new flora it has caused the following species to go extinct within its range; boreal crackplent, gringash, and scavengundi.
