Due to heavy predation in the Gec water regions, the swents were practical forced out, causing an evolutionary spring board for other species to arise. The woodland swent split from its ancestor and moved to the Darwin Temperate Woodland because of this. They now feed on the various fruit of the surrounding area. To reach these tall fruit, their front legs have grown to support them upwards. Their tongues have returned, which they use to detach the fruit. They are no longer able to fly as adults.
