The zergster split from its ancestor, the chunky zoister. Deep in Otter Vents it has grown to 10 times its ancestor size and feeds on them. It is completely carnivorous and prefers live prey over carrion. Its strong tail allows it to quickly dart in and pick off prey. Its antennae have sensitive hairs on the ends of them to detect movement in the water as well as "taste" organic particles in it.
It will use its toothy beaks and scythe-like pincher to grab and crack open its prey's exoskeleton. Their small legs are not used very much any more since it primarily uses its tail to swim. It has developed a new way of reproduction. It will inject its spores in its prey. The spores will "hatch" inside and eat their way out of their hosts body.
