Ancestor:Descendants:

Some spikedshell bubblehorns, which had lived in King Beach for a long time, found more food and protection in the forest, where they developed a new species.

The acicubin bubblehorn is able to hide on the ground of the forest, living right next to the roots of the nidbin. Its form and color help its camouflage. From its old shell only three spikes remained, which help to disguise it between the fruits of the nidbins. Its horns are finer and assist with its camouflage. Due to the secretion of viscous mucus, it can scale the branches and remain there while it feeds from waste. Since few creatures eat these fruit, being dry and unappetizing, the acicubins are mostly protected. They developed some resistance to the nidbin toxin, depositing their eggs inside of fallen flowers, where the water accumulates, or in water puddles next to the roots, giving protection to its offspring.
