The albino swarmer replaced its ancestor and doubled in size. It is now completely white, but in order to do this, it has lost all its chloroplasts and cannot photosynthesize anymore. This change forced it to filter-feed a lot more, and now it has to eat scraps of organic matter just to have enough energy. Its body is much more streamlined, and thanks to that, it can swim a lot faster, avoiding any predators that happen to spot it in the frigid waters.
