The blind hoofplent replaced its ancestor, the shroom hoofplent in Ferret Limestone Caverns. After being cut off from sunlight for millions of years it lost its pigment and sight. It appears greenish in color due to its green blood. Its whiskers and ears have grown huge so it can both feel around and hear better in the dark. It will use its butt-nostrils to chirp so it can use echolocation to "see" in the dark. Like its ancestor it feed on the berry arbourshrooms. Individual blind hoofplents live for about 4 years, reaching sexual maturity at about 1 year. They live in small groups of 3–4, usually a male with his mates and children. Other than these changes, its the same as its ancestor
