The blind wingworm replaced its ancestor, the clear-wing worm, in Sublyme Limestone Caves. It has lost all its pigment and has become completely blind. Its front wings have little hairs on them in which it uses to feel the air and sonic vibrations. Its abdomen has gotten smaller to make them lighter. Like their ancestors, they use their spiky mouth to scrape off microbes from the cave walls. There are no real predators so their numbers are only limited by the abundance of lithotrophic microbes.
