The blubdub split from its ancestor. It has taken up the lower regions of the LadyM Ocean, subsisting on what flora and detritus trickle down into the depths. Its dual-eye and mouth are oriented upwards, to help locate and capture the food which is constantly falling down (Note: while its mouth is closed in the picture, it is rarely closed in real life). It has lost most of its pigment due to the lack of light
It stores a small pocket of air near its tail fin to help with buoyancy. Rather than using its fins to swim, it adjusts the amount of air stored in its body to rise or sink. If needed, it can swim in short, awkward bursts using its fins. Individuals who sink to the bottom use their fins to shuffle along the seafloor. Other than these changes it's the same as its ancestor.
