The branch-vase seacural split from its ancestor on the Truteal Sea Mount. A chance mutation caused the main body to split into two separate branches: rather than hinder the organism, this has doubled its intake of nutrients. As the individual grows it stores more and more sediment collected from the water, forming a short stiff trunk below the branches, which anchors it better to the sea bed; the color of its body is dependent on the colors of available sediment, though it is most sensitive to collecting iron. Other than these changes, it is the same as its ancestor.
