The Burrowing Tamjack has moved inland to Hydro Tropical Rainforest. Forgoing amphibious life, they instead construct large burrows in which up to 15 may live at a time. The scales on its back have thickened and increased in number, providing protective armour. The Burrowing Tamjack uses its large axe like tail to fight off large predators such as the Digging Gossalizard and also to fell trees such as the Clusterspades. As well as providing food, the leaves and trunk are also used by the Burrowing Tamjack to camouflage its burrows so as to help protect them from predators. Individuals live for 25 years. A female gestates young for a half a year and give birth to 2-4 babies 3 times in her life. Like their ancestors, they are warm blooded and give birth to live young. The live young live in the pouch until they either have grown too big. However they will still nurse milk from the mother for up to a year after birth even if they cannot fit in the pouch.
