Ancestor:Descendants:

The cave bramble split from its ancestor, the spikeblades. After the Rabid Sandstone Caves cave-in was opened again species were able to re-colonize it. The first of these is the cave bramble which lives in the crevices at the cave mouth. It cannot spread any farther because it depends upon sunlight to live.

Like its ancestor its blades are razor sharp and have a waxy outside. Each blade has grown smaller thorns to keep herbivores from eating them. It still grows bright red seeds that emits its own faint light. This litters the cave floor with glowing seeds.
