The cave orbitree split from its ancestor, the orbitree. It is very much like its ancestor except it lives in a cave environment. It grows best near the cave lamp-palm since its light helps fauna find its fruit and flowers in the dark of the cave. It only grows in areas that allow sunlight into the cave.
