The cave spade-leaf split from of the temperate spade-leaf and moved to Neo Limestone Caves. The stalk bears four fruit which have hard seeds within them. The pollen is dispersed through the wind while the seeds dispersed through digestive tracts of fauna. Like its ancestor, they have a bulb that stores energy and produces antifreeze during the winter. Their leaves are very sharp to discourage predators.
