The cavehog split from its ancestor in search for a safer home. The cavehog found the Raptor Caves and it has adapted to its new home. Unlike its ancestor, the cavehog's legs are shorter since they don't need to run away from predators all the time. It has also become smaller, which allows it to hide in small nooks and crannies inside the caves. In order to find its way through the dark, the cavehog has evolved four more scent bumps, which lets the cavehog find its way through the caverns with the sense of smell. Another important adaptation is that its spines have become much sharper.
