Ancestor:Descendants:

The coastal tuffdra split from its ancestor, the river tuffdra. It has now adapted to saltwater and has grown to twice its ancestors size. Unlike its ancestor who was adapted to the cold it no longer needs the anti-freeze adaptations and has thus lost them. They no longer hibernate since they are in the tropics now. However they still asexually spread their floating seeds in the water as well as budding off from the parent plant to reproduce.
