Ancestor:Descendants:

The coiled swaberry split from its ancestor and moved into the banks of the Ovi River where they live as dense clusters. The leaves grow inside the coil during development to protect them from cold. The flora is shorter than their ancestor and has a thicker stalk to defend against cold while the berry stalk dies and shrivels after fully developing. It has small clusters of berries so that the parent organism can focus more energy on surviving and producing more berry stalks rather than having one go at reproduction and exhausting its resources.
