Ancestor:Descendants:

The dartir split from its ancestor, the flying dart. Some flying darts where not fast enough to catch and kill twelve-winged worms, but instead of dying out they started feeding on dead fauna. Finding dead fauna costs less energy then having to kill twelve-winged worms, so they started getting smaller and are now about 10 cm long. They also developed a stinger on the end of the tail which they use to stay attached to their food without having to clap their wings as much. Furthermore the dartir is not very different from it's ancestor except for those changes. It has spread to Huggs Scrub, Yokto Taiga and Huggs Taiga.
