Ancestor:Descendants:

The deep shrubite split from its ancestor, the Spiral Shrubite. It has migrated to the depths and grows on the ocean floor. Since the pressure is so high it had to grown a a stout spiral shape. Like its ancestor it snatches up any objects it can in the water, gulps up whatever nutrients it might contain, and then builds it's shell around it.
