Ancestor:Descendants:

The icicle shrubite split from its ancestor, the deep shrubite. It has migrated from the depths of Jujubee Ocean (Sea Floor) to South Polar Coast where there is an abundance of microbes during the summer. There it could grow to twice its ancestors size no only from having more food but because of less ocean pressure. Like its ancestor it snatches up any objects it can in the water, gulps up whatever nutrients it might contain, and then builds it's shell around it. During the dark winters it will hibernate until the abundance microbes return.
