The dotraeb replaced its ancestor, the ukpuke in Wright. Its evolution was a complete spliting mistake. When two ukpuke started splitting, for an unknown reason, they stopped at the end of the reproduction. Because of that four of the tentacles of the two dotraebs are connected. The virus took advantage of this in a very interesting way. It trapped blood cells between the two dotraebs and developed small flagella on the inside of the trap, on which there are many small organelles. With these small flagella it took the energy it needs to live.
