Splitting from its ancestor, the double-banded toxiglobe has evolved a mild cytotoxin that permeates throughout its "flesh" in low levels. Deadly if eaten in large amounts, its poison causes its eater to develop large raw patches of necrotic flesh. Typically growing in large patches, it is usually avoided by herbivores of all types save for naïve ones, indicated by the rotting corpses found around them, so toxin filled that even scavengers won't eat them. The toxin affects plents alone, causing little damage to other groups.
