The double plent is a plent, which happens to be a Siamese twin. This mutation often happened to some plents earlier, but either the plent was nonviable because the organs got messed up, or it couldn't refer these genes to their descendants, so that this mutation was only a marginal phenomenon. But this plent can both survive and transfer the "twin-genes" to the youth. The "second" twin is the first twin which got rotated around the axis of the trunk for 45°. The twin gene has two benefits for this plent: first, because it has more leaves like other plents, it can photosynthesize much better and faster and can regenerate the leaves when some are eaten. Second, the 8 roots give more firmness. The double plent is a descendant of the thornleffo.
