Ancestor:Descendants:

The dugger has replaced its ancestor the sneaky creeper in Yokto Dunes. It now hides in the sandy dunes just under the surface. There it is protected from the sun and heat. Also it is unseen by its prey. Its spade front claws dig through the sand in more of a swimming motion. It can feel the vibrations when creature walk in the sand and will start digging twords them. They are active at all times and will spend times resting when nothing is close by and then become active when something comes by. They will peak out their infered eyes at night to spot prey at longer distances. Also their nostrils can smell blood from long distances. When under the sand its will close up the eyes and nostrils tight so sand cannot get in. Thus they must come up for air. It can still hear but its outer ears have almost disappeared and are mainly used to listen for vibrations in the sand.

Once its has found its prey it will sneak behind it, mainly while it is sleeping, and pierce a small hole using its now thinner needle-like fangs. Then it will use its razor tongue to lick the blood and open the wound. In order not to wake its prey the saliva contains anesthetics as well as a weak poison that causes its prey to fall into deeper sleep. It is also quite silent and small and therefore is not detected. Some times its teeth get knocked out or just worn out so it will regrow its teeth throughout its lifetime.

Its young are still kept in the pouch. The mother buries herself she buries her young next to her in a smaller hole and empties them in it. After a few months when they no longer feed on milk they are given coagulated clumps of regurgitated plent blood. After they get bigger, they are brought half-dead prey to practice their killing bites on. When the young are forced to live on their own by their mother, they move into different parts of the vast dunes never to come across with her again.
