The dwarf miragebok replaced its ancestor on Ovi Island. Due to pressures from their insular environment, being small proved to be more advantageous. Another curious adaptation is the use of their vestigial limbs. Because of the lack of large predators, they now perform intricate mating rituals using extremely colorful mating displays on the webbing between toes of their vestigial limbs.
